Jeff Jensen Safety Award

Team Rachel is incredibly honored and humbled to have received the 2020 Jeff Jensen Memorial Construction Safety Excellence Award from the AGC of Minnesota!!!  This award is highly competitive amongst contractors of all sizes.  Our firm demonstrated safety excellence by a very low Experience Modification Rate (EMR) and a Total Recordable Case Incident Rate (TRIR).  The number of man hours that we invest annually on safety training for craft employees, supervisors, managers, and subcontractors is another major component of the Jeff Jensen Safety Award.  EVERY team member contributed to this effort!!!!

As a proud member of the AGC’s CHASE program, Rachel Contracting looks forward to furthering the partnership and fostering a top notch safety culture throughout the industry!!

Engineering News Record- TOP 600 Specialty Contractors!

Engineering News Record, in the October 12, 2020 issue, just published its annual list of the Top 600 Specialty Contractors and Rachel Contracting made the list again. ENR, published by McGraw-Hill Companies Inc., publishes this list each year based upon annual revenues of specialty contractors across the United States. Rachel Contracting earned a ranking of #299.  We are very honored to have moved up a few spots from last year!

2020 Chase Award

Team Rachel was awarded CHASE Level 3 status on the Andover Community Center Project! The CHASE (Construction Health & Safety Excellence) program is Partnership in Safety of the MN OSHA and MN AGC to recognize the safest performing contractors in MN. Level 3 recognition is the highest achievement possible in the program, and a literal “Gold Stamp of Approval” only held by a select few contractors each year. More proof that Rachel Contracting is “Committed to Safety”!

Rachel Achieves CHASE Certification

Rachel is proud to announce that it recently achieved Level 2 status in the MN CHASE Partnership program. CHASE stands for Construction Health and Safety Excellence . The CHASE program began in 2002 as a partnership between Minnesota OSHA and Associated General Contractors of Minnesota. The program is designed to recognize member contractors for their safety programs and performance while providing incentives for partnership. It recognizes the importance of providing a safe and healthful work environment in the construction industry. The goals of the partnership are:

  1. To reduce the number of injuries, illnesses, and fatalities.
  2. To increase the number of general and specialty contractors who implement effective safety and health programs.
  3. To recognize those contractors with exemplary safety and health programs.
  4. To promote open lines of communication.
