At the annual National Demolition Association Convention, the Rachel Team was awarded the Michael J. Casbon Safety Award – the award honors the legacy of the late Mike Casbon, an expert with 25 years of experience in the fields of demolition, decontamination, and construction. The intention of this award is to honor companies that have demonstrated excellence in safety.
We thank the The National Demolition Association for recognizing Rachel Contracting as a safety leader in demolition! And a congratulation is in order for all demolition award winners!
The Rachel Foundation hosted the 1st Annual Black Ice Jig Ice Fishing contest on Sugar Lake in Annandale, MN! More than 400 people braved the cold weather to support the Rachel Foundation and raise money to give back to the local communities. Over 30 generous companies helped to support the event and make it a success. Lots of fun was had by all that attended and volunteered, and together we raised over $34,000 for the Rachel Foundation!
The AGC of Minnesota recognized the Rachel Team with the 2021 CHASE Level 2 status along with Level 3 Projects! Kindeva and the UMN Mech Eng Phase 3 were both CHASE level 3 projects.
This prestigious award speaks volumes to the amount of time and resources that Team Rachel invests on safety training and safety excellence. By having all employees and trade partners engaged in our safety culture, we are able to maintain an incredibly low Experience Modification Rate (EMR) and Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR).

For the second straight year, Rachel Contracting is humbled to announce that we received the 2021 Minnesota Safety Council (MSC) Governor’s Safety Award of Honor in Occupation Health and Safety!! Team Rachel earned the award for having an annual incident rate that is better than 91% of the industry average!!!! At Rachel Contracting, our slogan is “Committed to Safety,” and this prestigious award is a reflection of our employees’ commitment to jobsite safety.
Since 1934, the annual Governor’s Safety Awards program has honored Minnesota employers with exceptional safety performance. Applicants are judged on several years of injury data as it compares with their industry’s national statistics, and on their progress in implementing a comprehensive safety program.

Our new 28,000 square foot, St. Michael headquarters features, industrial steel beams, a lagging wall, putting green, private offices, huddle rooms, along with the best ICE in town!
