DGC UREA Summer Works 2014

Location
Beulah, ND
Category
Earthwork, Utilities
Completion Date
June 2015

The Dakota Gasification Company (DGC) was looking to expand its plant capabilities with the manufacturing of UREA fertilizer. The project was constructed from the ground up and encompassed approximately 100 acres. The scope of work included all the permanent underground site utilities and temporary construction materials. The majority of the challenges faced throughout the project were related to strict site requirements, changes in design and a tight schedule. Rachel was able to offer the Owner various cost saving options as well as means for expediting schedule. The keys to the success of the project were embodied in the teams willingness to communicate and solve problems in short order. The project got the site ready for a GC to execute and install the buildings, process piping and equipment in 2015-2016.
