Rachel Contracting was awarded this project through the best value bidding approach. Previously we worked on this property doing a soil remediation where we removed 50,000 tons of contaminated soil. Having experience on this site made us a confident selection for the owner on the building phase of this project. Rachel crews got to work moving roughly 30,000 CY of onsite turn to grade the site. Additionally there was a 20,000 CY soil correction required for building support. The massive underground StormTrap system consisted of picking and setting over 160 pieces, put onto a concrete slab. Our crews battled constant rain as work progressed into the late Fall making sitework and utility installation challenging.
